Funeral Celebrant
I believe that everyone should be empowered to ensure that a person's wishes are honored, regardless of sexual, gender, racial, or religious identity.
Let us celebrate our beloved dead a way that honors their life and spirit - how they lived and that ties into their community and culture as well.
Funeral Celebrants, also called Officiants or Ceremonialists, are professionals who provide master-of-ceremony services at funerals and memorials. They work closely with family/friends of the deceased to create ceremonies that are highly personalized and intentional.
Celebrants offer an alternative to clergy persons, who are typically obtained through a church. People who are not associated with a church oftentimes don't know where to turn for the support of trained, compassionate Celebrants.

Alternatively, should you require a 'take two' funeral - perhaps your loved one was misrepresented by family and you decide to host another one with chosen family, community, and friends - a Funeral Celebrant can be a resource to honor the ceremony you are trying to create.

If having an *ordained clergy person would bring peace of mind to either you or other family members involved, I am also ordained in the Universal Life Church.
